There is more that you need than knowing your a sinner and being willing to repent to escape going to Hell.
As a sinner you have violated God’s Holy standard. God requires absolutely satisfying his law yet as a sinner you are unable too.
“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10)
To be saved from Hell, God himself must come to your aid. In the old testament of the Bible the Israelites offered sacrifices to cover their sins.
Although God accepted these sacrifices to cover their sins they were still not blotted out. But Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God paid your sin debt.
How did he do that you say? He did it by coming into the world, living a sinless life, dying becoming the sacrifice to cleanse away the world’s sins, and then rising again from the dead!
Only God in human flesh could be perfectly upright. Only God in the flesh has the power to come back from the dead.
Through God’s perfect plan he paved a way for us to come be with him in Heaven. To escape Hell you must also believe that Jesus Christ has the power to forgive your sins and died on the cross, was buried and rose again.
The scripture below bear out these things:
Isaiah 9:6 – For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… 1:14 – And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
Philippians 2:5-7 – Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Hebrews 4:15 – For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Jesus’s Power to forgive SINS
Matthew 9:2-7 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
And he arose, and departed to his house.
Mark 15:32-40 – Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.
And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.
And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.
And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.
I Corinthians 15:6 – After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
Jesus’s blood cleanses from SIN
Acts 20:28 – Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Jesus’s the only way
John 14:6-7 – Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Acts 4:12 – “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
John 8:24 – “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM He, you will die in your sins.” (Jesus’s Words)
John 8:58 – Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” (Jesus’s Words)
1 Timothy 3:16 – And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.
